Foundation hotel at the old Detroit Fire Department Headquarters has been rejuvenated and set for business. The five-story hotel which has been under renovation for years finally opened its doors on Monday.

The hotel which offers an exquisite taste of Detroit arts and history is situated three blocks from the Marius Park, by the side of Larned Str. and Washington, Detroit.
Foundation hotel is a blend of both old and modern designs with 100 guest rooms. The designs were created by SimeoneDeary Design Group in collaboration with McIntosh Poris Associates, Detroit.

Some of the amazing features in Foundation Hotel include a ballroom at the rooftop – which gives a wonderful view of Detroit, historic bricks tiles, iconic doors, rooms with reclaimed molding, historical wallpapers, automotive furniture and other modern fixtures.
“Our team is thrilled to join the Detroit market,” announced Mario Tricoci CEO, and Co-founder of Aparium Hotel Group. “In creating this hotel, we are collaborating with local makers, artists, and innovators to introduce a true Detroit experience for both locals and visitors.”
Other partakers in the design renovation of the hotel are Detroit Wallpaper Company and Architectural Salvage Warehouse.

The hotel has a lobby which leads to an Apparatus Room, a newly opened restaurant managed by Thomas Lents, who is a native of Michigan and a renowned chef. The restaurant has an open kitchen and a communal bar. The restaurant opened on Monday serving craft beer and cocktails, and it also offers various products of anthology coffee.

Lents said that he was thrilled to return home after a long time and he is very eager to resurrect their menu by working together with the local farmers.
Services offer to guests include free access to Wi-Fi, pet facilities, high-quality linens and mattresses, fitness center, and 24 hours business center.
