Fadi Fawaz, the boyfriend of singing superstar George Michael says his lover had tried to commit suicide on a number of occasions. Devastated Fadi found George dead in bed on Christmas Day when he went to wake him at his home in Oxfordshire so they could have lunch together.

In a series of tweets, Fadi hit out at suggestions that he had no longer been with George. He said: “Not sure who that nasty close friend of George but I was in relationship with George Michael till I found him dead in bed. The only thing George wanted is to DIE. He tried numbers of time to kill himself many times.”

He added that his lover had finally managed, saying that the pair had been very much in love and had been with each other pretty much all day, every day, until the singer’s death. However, Fadi’s social media account now appears to have been deleted.

The heartbroken hairstylist also posted a good riddence message to 2016, posted an image of a middle finger, accompanied by the caption: “I hate you 2016 from the bottom of my heart.”

Toxicology reports

His latest social media message follows reports that investigations so far into the singer’s cause of death have proved inconclusive. Officers are said to be keen to speak to Fadi about whether drugs may have played a part in the death of the Wham! star. While they know that Fadi needs to grieve, they also need to speak to him soon. Not only will they want to look at cause of death, but also who, if anyone, could have been supplying any drugs to George.

While the singer’s publicist has claimed that the 53 year old died of heart failture, further tests, including a toxicology report, have been ordered, with results not likely for a number of weeks.
