Jordan Smith has won the European Tour title following a playoff win at Hamburg’s Porsche European Open ground.

Jordan Smith took home the title after he won the extra hole following a tie with Alex Levy, the defending champion on 13 under. But this came after French native missed one of his putt to from just three feet on their first trip on the 18th.

Jordan Smith, 24, went into the hand with a two shot lead and started the final round of the game with a birdie. However, he dropped shots on both the sixth and eighth and this threw the game open for Alex Levy who hit a closing 69 to challenge for the title.

Smith took back the lead with a birdie from just three feet but his bunker shot was short at the 13th and he missed a 20 footer.

Both players birdied the 15th before Levy went ahead once again with a gain. Smith fought back to force the game to a playoff following his play in the round 71.

Alex Levy’s Blunder Cost Him

Jordan Smith won the game after Alex Levy missed out on a birdie that was just three foot away on the 18th hole. Smith took advantage of this loss on the next trip down to win the game.

Johan Edfor and Siddikur Rahman were tied in the third spot, while Richie Ramsay and Ashley Chester both finished in the top 10 spot.
