President Trump has been criticized by many for a series of tweets vilifying the MSNBC hosts of popular show “Morning Joe”

Thursday morning, Trump tweeted: “I heard poorly rated @Morning_Joe speaks badly of me (don’t watch anymore). Then how come low I.Q. Crazy Mika, along with Pyscho Joe, came to Mar-a-Lago 3 nights in a row around New Year’s Eve, and insisted on joining me. She was bleeding badly from a face-lift. I said no!”

The tweet targeting hosts of MSNBC show “Morning Joe” Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough has been derided as being vulgar and crude, particularly his comment on Brzezinski – the latest in a series of questionable statements made by the President about women.

Brzezinski retaliated on Twitter by posting an image of a Cheerios box captioned “made for little hands”. Detractors of the thin-skinned President Trump claim his hands are comparatively small compared to the rest of his frame.

Trump’s comments received poorly by Democrats and Republicans alike

“Morning Joe” has been harshly critical of President Trump, going so far as to question his mental state in a recent airing of the show. Trump’s tweet came two hours after Brzezinski observed that if a business executive were to behave as Trump had been, “there would be concern that perhaps the person who runs the company is out of his mind”.

Republican Senator Ben Sasse of Nebraska tweeted: “Please just stop. This isn’t normal and it’s beneath the dignity of your office.” South Carolina Republican Lindsey Graham followed with: “Mr. President, your tweet was beneath the office and represents what is wrong with American politics, not the greatness of America.”

Trump’s assault on Fox News Channel Megyn Kelly is once again being discussed after his insult to Brzezinski’s appearance, where he stated Kelly had “blood coming out of her wherever” after she aggressively questioned him during a debate.

Lorie Acio, spokeswoman for NBC News declared: “It’s a sad day for America when the president spends his time bullying, lying and spewing petty personal attacks instead of doing his job.”
